“Japanese Giant” 7-Eleven fully cooperates in training and recruiting Economics students with Dong A University

In the afternoon of September 7, in Tokyo (Japan), Dong A University (Da Nang) together with other 5 universities of Vietnam officially signed a comprehensive cooperation on training and developing high quality human resources with 7-Eleven - a corporation that owns the largest convenience store chain in Japan.

This cooperation is expected to bring an additional career development opportunity for Vietnamese students, thereby promoting the development of Vietnamese higher education in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam - Japan. Moreover, September 21 will be the 44th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Accordingly, the opportunity to work with CVS business model managing popular products in Japan with high start-up capabilities in the retail sector has never been easier with students from Faculty of Business in Dong A University. Especially when "7-Eleven" decided to select Dong A University students to do internships at a chain of retail stores in Japan in large numbers each year, starting with 50-100 students from 2017, and this is done by the decision to sign an important cooperation agreement between the two parties.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, MSc. Luong Minh Sam - Vice Rector of Dong A University stressed that this strategic cooperation agreement will bring practical benefits to Vietnamese students who are students of Dong A University with the opportunity to continue approach advanced management model, directly prepare to work and start a business in an international business environment in Japan or in Vietnam. This is also the training mission that Dong A University always pursues, through practical training methods, to help students gain knowledge and especially professional skills and international integration opportunities.

MSc. Luong Minh Sam also believes that, with the spirit of learning, fast integration and the desire to start up a business of Vietnamese students, Dong A students will soon join the group's staff at 19,423 shops in Japan as an intern from this year 2017, and will be the owner of projects to start a business at home immediately after the end of the internship.

In recent years, Dong A University has paid special attention to promoting cooperation with prestigious domestic and foreign partners, in which Japan has always been a potential and attractive market. Especially, from 2016 up to now, more than 30 cooperation agreements with strategic partners, in which more than half are with Japanese partners such as Route-Inn Group, Zensho, Jinno, Taiken, Kouseikai Academy, Nanakamado, Aoyama and today Seven-Eleven corporations, are vivid demonstrations for the efforts to prove international working skills and career opportunities for students.
